Mohonk Mountain House is a convenient 90-minute trip from Manhattan. The resort is located six miles west of the New York State Thruway in the Town of New Paltz, NY and is easily accesible by auto, train, bus or air.
Take Exit 18 and turn left on to Route 299. Follow Route 299 through New Paltz and over the Wallkill River bridge. Take the first right turn after the bridge. After approximately 1/4 mile, bear left at the fork onto Mountain Rest Road. Continue up the mountain for about four miles to the Mohonk gate.
Amtrak and MetroNorth trains arrive and depart from Poughkeepsie, while Adirondack Trailways coaches serve New Paltz directly.
Mohonk Mountain House is 25 miles from Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, 70 miles from Albany Airport, and less than 100 miles from New York City area airports.
With advance notice Mohonk drivers will meet guests at nearby bus and train stations as well as flights at the Newburgh, Albany, and New York area airports. A rate schedule for this service will be provided upon request.
