Mohonk Mountain House

Most participants stay at the Mountain House. Reservations should be made as soon as you decide to come to join us. After all reserved rooms are taken, reservations will be accepted on a space available basis only. Reservations must be made by contacting the hotel directly. When making reservations, please identify yourself as part of the IEEE group to obtain the workshop rate.

Room rates

Single $292.00 per person per night
Double $232.00 per person per night

Note: These rates are Full American plan rates, which include three consecutive meals daily, beginning with dinner on the day of arrival through lunch on the day of departure. Credit is not extended for missed meals. Daily room and board rates quoted above are subject to applicable state and local taxes and gratuity (12%).

Additional daily charges will apply for each additional person (up to four people per room), as follows:

Children under 4 Stay free
Children 4 – 12 years old $99.00 per person per night
Children/Adults – 13 and over $185.00 per person per night

Dress code

Attendees who are arriving early or staying late should be aware that the Mountain House requires gentlemen to wear jackets for dinner in the main dining room. However, because the workshop has its own dining room for dinner, jackets are not required during the workshop.

Check-in/check-out

Check-in begins after 4:00 pm, and check-out time is 2:00 pm. Participants may arrive earlier than the check-in time; the Mountain House will store any baggage until the rooms are ready.

Getting there

Mohonk Mountain House is within easy driving distance from anywhere on the North Eastern Seaboard. Please check www.mohonk.com for detailed driving directions from your specific starting point. On that web page, information regarding transportation reservations is also presented.

Since a great number of the workshop attendees come from outside of the US, it is of great interest to note that Stewart International Airport in Newburgh (SWF/KSWF) is the closest such airport. Mohonk Mountain House is 25 miles from the Stewart International Airport, 70 miles from Albany Airport, and less than 100 miles from New York City area airports.
